What costs a video, and what does not
One render takes one video from your balance. After that, changing and re-rendering the same project is free, however often you need it. There is one line, and it is the photos.
One render takes one video
Your plan is counted in videos, not in minutes or in projects. Rendering a project takes one video from your balance, whatever its length, whatever format it is in, and whether it turned out well or not.
Everything before that render is free. Import the listing, try a different tempo, listen to three voices, preview a track, look at the script. Nothing you do while building a project is counted until you render it.
Re-rendering the same project is free
Once a video exists, you can keep working on it and render it again, as often as you need to, without it costing another video. That is the point: getting it right should not be a budget decision.
All of this is free, on a project you have already rendered:
- rewriting the script, regenerating a line, or translating the whole thing into another language
- changing the voice-over language, the voice or the dialect, or turning it off
- swapping the background track, and turning subtitles on or off
- switching the atmosphere style, Daylight, Cozy or Showroom, which used to count as a new video and no longer does
- reordering scenes, deleting one, or re-running the photo optimization on a shot that did not land
- both formats, a 9:16 social cut and a 16:9 tour come out of the same project at no extra cost
- your logo, your colours, the listing details overlay and the end frame
- and after publishing: a price drop, a typo, a sharper photo that arrived late
This is what makes a listing worth keeping current.
A reel still advertising last month's asking price costs you more than a re-render does, which is nothing.
The one line: the photos
You can replace up to three quarters of the photos a project was rendered with. Beyond that, you are not updating this property anymore, you are building a different one, so it counts as a new video.
That line exists for one reason: to stop a single project quietly becoming a second, third and fourth property. Short of it, swap in as many better shots as you like.
What does count as another video
- A new property. A different listing is a different project, and its first render takes a video.
- Replacing more than three quarters of the photos, as above.
Videos you do not use
Unused videos do not vanish at the end of the month. They stay valid for three months on monthly billing and twelve months on annual billing, so a quiet month followed by a busy one simply evens out.
Because that window is generous, unused videos are not refunded. Anything you have already made and downloaded is yours to keep, with no expiry on the file itself.
